Bergen County Commercial Real Estate On the Rise

Two years ago Hackensack unveiled a rehabilitation plan for its downtown district. It had been pretty quiet but it seems that there is more direction towards progress. In June, a 222 unit residential property project broke ground on State Street.
Experts have been saying that the Bergen County town has everything it needs for a renaissance to take place. With access to all forms of mass transit, access to multiple major highways and the county’s largest medical center. Hackensack has highlighted a number of places they are really looking to push development.
The governing body of Hackensack has also approved a short-term tax abatement for developers and residence who build, or make improvements, to the 39-block rehabilitation area. This is a major step in the Bergen County NJ commercial real estate development. This tax break won’t just cater to major developers, but to small business owners and building owners who update their spaces.
